Pearson has announced some changes to come to PTE Academic Test from 16th November 2021.
The way students prepare for the exam and there are no changes to the overall test format, question types, or scoring scale.
The major change is that the test length is getting shortened to 2 hours and the number of questions will reduce as well. There will be fewer questions in each sub section.
The optional break will be removed as well. There used to be 10 minutes optional break which will now be removed making the test even shorter.
The other change is that score report feedback is getting enhanced. Students will get personalised feedback on their test performance, plus targeted advice on how to further improve their English skills based on the results.
The difficulty of the test is not expected to change or become harder. And the score requirements to get admission in the universities is expected to remain the same as well.
